The Purpleheart Flagship Cajón is a striking solid wood body version of the popular Nautilus Flagship cajón. Made of one continuous piece of purpleheart wood, from which this cajón gets its tone. Purpleheart is a relatively rarely used for cajón making, but with its astounding density and clear tonality, it is an ideal material. The dimensions of this cajón are 19” tall x 14” wide, by 15” deep. It has two different sounding tapas with the sound hole to the side. One tapa is a fully glued “pure tone head” and the other is a partially screwed “slap head”. The slap head has snares which are adjustable and fully mutable.
